BAEK HO TAEKWONDO PLEDGE
As a student of Taekwondo, I pledge to abide by the rules and regulations of Baek Ho Taekwondo, to adhere to the tenets of Taekwondo and never to abuse my knowledge of the art.
TENETS OF TAEKWONDO
ETIQUETTE - Observance of the code of conduct
MODESTY - Having a humble estimate of oneself, not being boastful or showing off.
PERSEVERANCE - Keeping trying despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
INDOMITABLE SPIRIT - Hope, strength and courage to get up and face each situation with a smile. Indomitable spirit is perseverance on a long term basis.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Students should be registered members of Baek Ho Taekwondo
Students should be registered with the independent Taekwondo Alliance
(You can speak to Master Gary, Michael or Cameron to arrange these.)
Students should not misuse their knowledge of the martial art.
DOJANG ETIQUETTE
Our rules of etiquette respect the Dojang and are primarily for the safety of students in a martial environment.
Upon entering and leaving the Dojang the student must bow.
The student must seek permission from the instructor before leaving the Dojang.
If a student is late for class they must kneel at the entrance until invited into the Dojang by an instructor.
Fingernails and toenails must be kept clipped to avoid injury.
The wearing of jewellery is discouraged for safety reasons.
Uniforms must be clean and ironed.
Within the Dojang, all movements and actions must be conducted politely.
No eating during lessons.
During training students must concentrate their attention on Taekwondo practice.
Don't disturb others during their training.
The use of excessive force during training is not permissible.
Students should help tidy up the Dojang after training.
